Green Book

Last year, I made a sensible choice to go green and along with this decision is my sudden interest in various products that don’t harm the earth.

Known to my friends as a planning slave and earth supporter, I was given a 100% recyclable planner/notebook a.k.a. the “Green Book” as a gift/product sample. I browsed through the pages and noticed that it is crafted with an “eco-friendly” person in mind. It offers helpful tips on how to care and conserve the Earth’s natural resources, as well as inspiring words to green your soul.

“You are designed to live in harmony with nature. Life can be told in colors – bright and intense, light and clear, soft and deep. Your story unfolds much as the colors of each season change and fade with the passing of time.

The Green Book is designed to detail and remember the colorful stories in your life. It is your companion in getting organized, in achieving your goals for the year and being the best you can be. At the same time it serves as a guide to living a lifestyle that is gentle to our planet. The Green Book is designed to green your soul one page at a time.”

~ An excerpt from the Green Book

How can you go wrong with something that cares for your schedule as much as it cares for the environment? You won’t.

Aside from being 100% recyclable, it is printed using vegetable-based ink wherein 30% of stock used is recycled paper negative free print acid free archival life at least 100 years. (That was a mouthful of product features and requires a little help from google.com.)

Browsing through the pages of the Green Book made me realize that choosing to live an eco-friendly lifestyle is a commitment — it is not something that you do today and forget tomorrow. It inspired me to live in harmony with nature and exert a conscious effort to take care of our only planet.

My green ode to self: Veer away from styropor and to reduce my consumption of plastic products, water and electricity. What’s yours?
