Makeup Soul Mate

A woman who loves the outdoors and travels a lot must have a beauty product that won’t let her down. A product that will not require frequent trips to the ladies room to check if your makeup is caking or if you look washed out.

I am not a makeup artist nor have flawless skin but I am amazed by the number of strangers, colleagues and friends who ask me what I use on my face. Apparently, my makeup gets to stay on my face from morning until evening without retouch even after staying under the sun for so long or after a vigorous activity.

My miracle products are Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme makeup and Revlon Age Defying powder with Botafirm.

Most of my makeup are drugstore brands because it is my choice not to allocate a chunk of my salary for it.

Best beauty lessons that  I learned the hard way:

1. Find the makeup and skin care that suits you best and be loyal to it.

2. Allocate a bigger share of your budget on skin care because nothing beats a well nourished and moisturized skin. Not only it ensures that makeup stays on your face (because too oily or too dry skin will result to caking) it also makes you glow.

3. At a young age, it is best to use products with sun protection factor (SPF, UVA &UVB) on your face and body at all times.

I found my makeup soul mate. Hope you’ll find yours too. Happy hunting!
