Dimsum Alll-You-Can at Phoenix Court

Since my family is based in Quezon City, I grab every opportunity to treat them to restaurants that I deem worth visiting when they come to the “south” area. (Just so you know, I lived in Quezon City for 28 years but transferred to Paranaque after I got married.) Last June 22nd, I decided to take them to Phoenix Court located at the 2nd floor (Tower Wing) of Bellevue Hotel in Alabang.

Phoenix Court is known as the only fine dining Chinese restaurant in Muntinlupa City. The restaurant boasts on their creative twist on authentic Chinese cuisine. In my mind was to introduce my family on my Phoenix Court staples such as Fish Fillet in Mango Sauce, Salt and Pepper Pork Spareribs and Tofu with Bailing Mushrooms and Greens. However, on the last minute, we decided to try out their dimsum-all-you can.

At Phoenix Court, you can eat as much dimsum, noodles, rice and dessert for Php650++/head and an additional P200++/head should you want to have additional viand options. The restaurant has a special menu for the P650++ and P850++ eat-all-you-can promo.

It was quite surprising that we were the only customer in the restaurant. Having said that, we were guaranteed to receive 101% excellent customer service coupled with undivided attention from three waiters. After an hour of eating, 2 families arrived to also enjoy the dimsum-all-you can.

“MUST-EAT” DIMSUM: (Listed in order of preference)
1. Scallops Dumpling
2. Scallops Dumpling (I repeated this on purpose because I am suggesting you get 2 orders of this. One is simply not enough.)
3. Fried Prawn Salad
4. Fried Prawn Salad (I also repeated this on purpose because I am suggesting you get 2 orders of this. One is simply not enough. )
5. Shrimp Hakaw
6. Shrimp wrapped in Ebi (Ask the waiter for some sweet and sour sauce.)

Clockwise: Fried Prawn Dumpling Salad, Scallops Dumpling, Shrimp Hakao, Scallops Dumpling

If you love plump and succulent shrimps, you will enjoy eating at Phoenix Court. Unlike other dimsum-all-you can menus, they have more “shrimp based” dimsum than “pork based” dimsum.

We also had Pork Spareribs with Tausi, Pork and Shrimp Siomai and Yang Chow fried rice.

Phoenix Court has a wide menu but we decided not to be too adventurous.

For dessert, I suggest you go with the Mango Sago instead of the Almond Curd. I think the chunk of curd is too huge for dessert.

Aside from the quality of the food, I believe that Phoenix Court consistently provides superb service even if the restaurant is full of customers.
